What is so special about a Fraxel Laser Treatment?

Previously there were 2 types of laser for skin rejuvination, an ablative laser and a non-ablative laser.

An ablative laser works by vaporizing the top layer of your skin, which then over time allows new skin to grow. This often gives very good cosmetic results but requires significant down time to allow your skin to regrow and to heal. It is also associated with significant potential complications, infection, scarring and pigment changes.

A non-ablative laser is a much less aggressive treatment, but also does not give nearly the same results.

The Fraxel Laser improves your appearance by targeting only a small portion of your skin at a time with thousands of tiny microscopic laser spots.

It's a little like plugging a lawn. It leaves a large portion of your skin untouched on each treatment, which allows the skin to heal much faster with much fewer complications. We are proud to offer you the 1st Fraxel Laser in the area and only the fourth Fraxel in the state of Missouri.
What Areas Does it Treat?

The Fraxel laser treats acne scars, age spots/brown spots, melasma, and mild to moderate wrinkles. It is used to totally rejuvinate and tighten your skin.

As opposed to other types of lasers, it can also be used off the face to treat similar conditions on other parts of the body. The Fraxel Laser is the only effective treatment I have seen for significant imrovement of stretch marks.

It can be used on any skin color or type.
